happy sunday (and mother's day)!!!

i actually don't even know if the flowers on this romper are carnations, i just thought the pun was really funny and cute. on another note, i'm excited to show you this look today! i bought this romper a few weeks ago, (among many other rompers), and this is my first time wearing it. when i first put it on, i was worried it was going to be too tight in the stomach area, or just ride up in the back.

it surprisingly fit better than i expected! and just like all of my other looks, this one is fairly priced as well (s/o to target). the one thing i'm really loving about this romper is the flower print. the romper is based black, and has little pink flowers all over it with white vines.

i'm a pretty simplistic person, i prefer to not be extravagant, but the flowers aren't overwhelming. i also really like the buttoning, even though they're a pain to undo every time i need to use the restroom or take it off. the buttons go up to the top of my chest, and then the top part of the romper "fades" into a blouse-like thing. (that sentence was messy lol sorry). this romper looks nice-casual, yet is very comfortable.

this look was perfect for mother's day today. i didn't want to dress up too much, but not look nice because i know there were going to be pictures.

as this day comes to an end, i officially have eight days of high school left.

let me repeat. i have eight days of school left, forever.

firstly, wow. just wow. i seriously can't believe in eight days i'll be out of high school, and in less than five months i'll be moving into my college dorm. as excited as i am for this new adventure of my life to begin, this is a bittersweet ending.

for the last three years, i've spent my life walking through the same crowded hallways, seeing the same familiar faces, and having the same journalism teacher. it's crazy to think about how it's all going to end in just a few days.

yet, i'm so excited to spending the next four years of my life studying beneath palm trees, meeting incredible new people, and to take my journalism passion a step further. it's crazy to think about how it's all going to start in just a few months.

this part of my life is most certainly a bittersweet ending, that will lead to a new beginning. endings can be good, as long as there is a better beginning.

monday; the end to a normally great weekend and the beginning of a new school or work week. monday is literally the epitome of bad days, but for some odd reason, today hasn’t been so bad.

since the middle of last week i’ve been sick, from my allergies trying to murder me to somehow getting pink eye in both (!!!) of my eyes. so, because i woke up feeling better, monday hasn’t been the worst.


in honour of me feeling better, i decided to wear this look, something cute but able to keep me warm while still shouting springtime. where i live, the weather has been all over the place.

the week before last it was around eighty degrees all week and this past week it was around fifty and sixty degrees. trust me when i tell you how hard it was trying to figure out what to wear because i didn’t know what to expect when i walked out of my house. this look was obviously cute, kept me warm (enough!), and shouted springtime.

i recently bought this blouse and already absolutely love it. i was originally going to save the blouse for my trip to italy later this month, but i saw it hanging in my closet this morning and gave in. it’s honestly just too cute, and i was in the mood to look cute too, lol!


one of my favorite parts of this look is how the blue/white stripes, bell sleeves, and the little butterfly designs make a cute little combo.

the only problem i had today was looking for my blouse so i could give ya'll a link, but for the life of me  i couldn't find it. anywhere. i bought it from the only italian boutique in america (so said the manager), but i thought if i want to their website i could find it. nope, nothing, nada.

however, despite that, this monday hasn’t been terrible (knock on wood--don’t want to jinx it, lol). i hope everyone else had a great start to their week! (-:
